Join CAAR for the May General Membership Meeting taking place on Thurs., May. 15th, from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the Hillsdale Conference Center.  In addition, we will be hosting a concise session titled, "Zoning," with Valerie Long, Partner at Williams Mullen who focuses on real estate transactions and land use matters.

REALTORS® know zoning controls what can and can’t be done in any given locality – but those rules, and interpretations, are regularly changing across Central Virginia. Gain an understanding of the zoning laws that have recently been changed or may soon be changed and how those changes may or may not impact your clients. Williams Mullen’s Valerie Long is recognized as one of the region’s leading land use attorneys. Hear of her firsthand interactions with the local zoning classifications, the approval and permitting process, new software as well as recent updates to city and county ordinances. Ms. Long will share her perspectives on navigating zoning issues in residential and commercial transactions.
