This session equips brokers with the essential knowledge and tools to properly manage escrow accounts and implement internal safeguards that prevent mismanagement, fraud, or noncompliance.
  • Benefit to the REALTOR®: Brokers gain confidence in handling one of the most sensitive aspects of real estate client funds. Proper escrow management reduces personal and brokerage liability, ensures compliance with Virginia regulations, and minimizes the risk of costly disciplinary actions or lawsuits.
  • Protection for the Public: Escrow funds often represent a buyer's or seller's largest financial transaction. By managing these funds correctly and transparently, brokers safeguard consumers from loss, delay, or unethical practices promoting confidence in the real estate process.
